Why is my oil light coming on?

I have a 1998 dodge neon. I just had an oil change a few days ago. When I brake, my car shakes and my oil light comes on. It feels like it is going to stall, but doesn't. It doesn't shake when it accelerates though. Also, my car smells like something is burning. Does anyone know what the problem is and how much it would cost to fix? It does not have to do with your breaks. This can be something to do with the ignition or the distribution belt. When you slow down the car the engine slow down the revolutions, if the engine time is not properly set, mechanic (belt) or electronic (ignition), then you will get the shakes. Check your engine temperature and compare it with what it was the normal temperature in your car. If your temperature is ok, then the smell could be assosiated with the oil change, sometimes oil spills in some heat spots or the engine, like the exauhst manifolds. When the engine is slowing revolutions the oil pump does not send the requierd oil presure to the system, That could be the oil light indication on your panel. Take your car to a mechanic, tell him about the simptoms.
