Can i driving examiner fail you if you don't do anything to cause an accident etc.?

I am a young adult and I took my driving test last week. I didn't run any stop signs, run red lights, or go the wrong way. I made it all the way to the end of the test yet my instructor failed me. I am highly discouraged about all of this.I thought that if you made it through the entire test that you passed. The only thing that I felt that I did wrong was that when i was at the signal light I went a little too far and was not able to see the light change unless I looked up. Other than that I did very well. She also said I braked while I was in a turn. I called this lady and asked how long it will be until i could try again and she said 30 days! I am a college student and I NEED my license, not some stupid permit. I shouldn't have to wait this. According to La law it is like 10 days. Why would she say 30 days.

Also where i live which is a small city, we don't have to make appts etc.Can i driving examiner fail you if you don't do anything to cause an accident etc.?Unfortunately, driver exams are based on a point system. You have no way of knowing exactly what she took points off for, but in case you're wondering it's definitely subject to opinion (of the instructor). You don't just have to %26quot;make it through%26quot; to pass, but normally if you don't do something really retarded, they DO pass you.

Sounds like you got a tough instructor. You said you live in a small town, but just remember that most states you don't HAVE to go to whichever Testing Center is closest to you. Usually there's one major testing center and a few smaller ones for more suburban areas. I know here the main testing center is at the State Police station and then other towns have smaller versions.

If you think your testing center is extra tough you're allowed to test at whatever center you want to as long as it's in the state you live in.

I had to take an %26quot;on the road%26quot; test which a lot of people dread, but it's actually much better because it's closer to what you're used to dealing with driving on your permit as opposed to some crazy cone pattern to follow. Admittedly I actually HIT the pole parallel parking the car and still passed.

I asked the instructor why he passed me and he said %26quot;You got the car into the parking space in less than 3 tries, which is all I asked you to do. I didn't ask you not to hit anything.%26quot;

I know that sounds crazy but it's just an example of how much it depends on your instructor.

Google other %26quot;Driver's license testing centers%26quot; in your area and you may feel more comfortable going to a different one. There's nothing wrong with that if you feel like you didn't get a fair shake at the first one.Can i driving examiner fail you if you don't do anything to cause an accident etc.?I know your pain but seriously suck it up.

The driving instructor CAN fail you for absolutuly ANYTHING

if they feel like it they can fail you because you looked at them funny or had a bad day (usually they don't tho)

chances are this one just felt that you wernt confident enough behind the wheel.

as for NEEDING your liscense i had the same situation (i take it your commuting) just drive with a parent until you can try again.

and if your just complaining and dont really NEED it to get to school then be quiet because i know PLENTY of college students who dont have theirs and dont give a damn.

(P.S. driving is not all its cracked up to be, infact it rather sucks)Can i driving examiner fail you if you don't do anything to cause an accident etc.?It's only like two weeks that you have to wait.Can i driving examiner fail you if you don't do anything to cause an accident etc.?In the UK, the examiner will usually tell you why they failed you. Did you ask your examiner why you failed? I don't have any personal experience of what happens when you fail, as i am one of those smug bast***s who passed first time. But i do have friends who failed. We don't have the option of driving around a carpark either. We have to take our test on the road. We now have a written theory test and also a hazard perception test taken in front of a computer screen.
